This is a reminder e-mail of all the services/activities planned for the next few days at Valois United and services in the community of which we are a part.

A quick bulletin for you all from Valois United.

Tomorrow we have snow (!) and one hour less to shovel it - on to Daylight Savings time.

As well, for the 20 actors in the Easter Drama, this Sunday brings our first rehearsal, scheduled for 12:30 (the worship committee is scheduled in between worship and the rehearsal). That gives you enough time to head home and grab a bite, or bring a "picnic", as another participant wrote to me.

This is a reminder that the Annual Congregational Meeting will take place after worship this Sunday. Lunch will be provided.

In addition to regular business, we will also be talking about a Mission Statement for Valois United.

Be a part of the meeting. Be a part of the future of the Congregation!

I bring you more sad news, with the death of Carroll Huggonson, wife of George Huggonson, mother of Lynn.

Family will receive visitation at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Highway 20, Pointe Claire (exit 49 Cartier) 514-483-1870, on Friday, February 8, 2008 from 1:00 p.m., followed by a service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Valois United Church or the Lakeshore General Hospital would be appreciated.

This is a quick update.

First, my apologies that the last newsletter was not sent bcc. I have now transferred the mailing list to a secure part of the website, and the e-mails are sent by the website, one at a time.

Second, note the special events:

• Ash Wednesday service on Feb 6 at 7:00 p.m.

• Lenten Study Group - meets Wednesdays at 1:00 to 2:30 at the church, beginning Feb 13.
