Some news about upcoming events during this Easter Season.
Invitation:
Building a Healthy Congregation Workshops
Three Sundays, 11:20 – 12:40
March 15, March 29, April 19
(One of these dates may need to be changed depending on the work of the Joint Search Committee)
All the people of Valois United are invited.
All Committee members are strongly encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible.
As an individual, being as healthy as possible takes time and effort. To be a healthy congregation takes time and effort. A healthy congregation cannot be measured in dollars and numbers of people – it must be measured in the relationships, the sense of cohesiveness, the sense of mutual trust, the sense of worth, and much more. When a congregation is healthy, it has more strength to focus on its concerns - which in the case of Valois include numbers of people and finances.
These workshops provide a framework where, together, healthy ways of being will be discovered and affirmed.
Greetings!
Today is Ash Wednesday. A reflective service with deep meaning, an ideal way to begin Lent, will be at 7:00 p.m.

Greetings to you all!
This is not as enjoyable as the regular newsletters, but very important. You will find here the link to this years complete annual report. There are printed copies available through the office as well.
Save paper - if you are coming to the meeting, print this double sided! And if not - browse through the reports on your screen and save the file for reference..... but, reallly - it is hoped that you'll be at the meeting.
This years Annual Congregational Meeting is on Sunday, February 22.
A quick note - Lent begins on Wednesday, February 25 with our Ash Wednesday service at 7:00 p.m.
Please find here the link to our latest Newsletter.
Keep warm.
Greetings to you all!
We are about to arrive at one of the most important days of the Christian calendar. And while we have been hearing the Christmas music of weeks in the malls, it is a challenge to keep the Gift of this special day in focus. Somehow the manger becomes hidden behind all the boxes in colourful wrappings and sparkling bows.
We can keep Christmas well by beginning with worship - whether we are at home or anywhere in the world. And when we have guests in our homes - invite them along!
Hello, everyone.... This Sunday at 10:00 a.m. will be the pageant led by the Sunday School. It's going to be a great celebration with drama and music!
As well, this is white gift Sunday. For those who were there last week, you received a special offering envelope for donations - but you can provide your own, or you're invited to bring a white gift - a gift wrapped in white, indicating the age and gender of the child to whom it could be given.
And/or - there is the mitten tree, with mits and hats.
All of these things are gathered so that others might be able to know that there is concern and care in the world for them; and so that others might be touched with some hope and joy.
And a final reminder for this week - we are working on reducing our deficit! Let's see what we can do. Everything makes a difference!
Due to a technical snaffoo, this is a re-send with a corrected link. Sorry!
Please find attached our Christmas
edition newsletter, which includes schedules and special events, like
our White Gift/Children's Pageant this upcoming Sunday.
Thanks!
