• We will be a church that is confident enough to acknowledge and to address conflict; we will be a church that engages individuals who appear to be in a conflict with others or with situations in the church.
• We will be an inclusive congregation, where there is free sharing of information.
• We will be good listeners, respectful of what the person is saying.
• We will respectfully and clearly name the problem in public discussion.
• We will focus on the issue, not the person.
• We will be a congregation that has the courage to engage those who are discontent.
• We will encourage people with concerns to express them to the appropriate people in an appropriate manner.
• We will all be responsible for owning our opinions.
• We will address issues in a general, appropriate and non-confrontational fashion in the way of Christ, as people of Christ.
• We will respect and honour the decisions of the Valois United Church community.
